Q: What is the Per Diem Card?
A: The Per Diem card is a reloadable, prepaid debit card issued by U.S. Bank that is used by businesses or colleges and universities to distribute per diem or stipend payments to individuals for day-to-day expenses. It is not a credit card, but works similarly to other debit cards. There are two types of Per Diem Cards available: the Standard Per Diem Card can be used for point-of-sale, signature or PIN transactions only whereas the Elite Per Diem Card can be used for ATM withdrawals, teller withdrawals, cash back with purchases, point-of-sale, signature or PIN transactions. The type of card you receive will be determined your employer or college/university.
